Historical information
Built at a cost of £75,000 the five-span reinforced concrete bridge replaced the oldest bridge across the Yarra river, linking the Shire of Doncaster-Templestowe on the south bank with Eltham on the north. The bridge was opened by Mr. G. Reid, M.L.A.
