Historical information

The colour patch is 2nd Battalion Canterbury Infantry Regiment New Zealand Military Forces. They belonged to Harry Thompson who came from Sebastion near Bendigo and enlisted in New Zealand. Refer 323.3, 1258, 2027.

Physical description

.1) Button, metal, round with 4 stars in the centre with "New Zealand Forces" around the outside.
.2) Canterbury Regiment colour patch, felt material, square shaped black backing with central diamond shape, dark blue over red.
