Silver War Badge WW1, Circa 1914

These Badges were awarded to personnel who were injured, sick, or disabled and were subsequently invalided discharged or to older soldiers who retired during the course of the war - First.
The Silver War Badge was worn on a lapel of civilian clothes to show that the recipient had served.
The wearer of the badge was required to carry and produce his/her stamped discharge certificate.

The Silver War Badge is an original, according to the number on the back of the Medal A90684 it has been issued to an Australian ex Serviceman/Woman
