The item belonged to Jack Grinton No 1043, 38th Batt AIF. Part of the Grinton collection which included hundreds of negatives and developed photos that he took during the War. Refer Cat No 1280 for service details. Refer 1317P, 1320P.
Physical description
Gas detector card. Fabric covered square card with 4 strips of material on one side and one large one on the other. Strips are brownish coloured. card sits inside a dirty brown coloured paper material joined to the card with string.
