Historical information

Tawonga is in the Kiewa Valley, where local farmers lived with their families. The Ryder and Briggs families have been prominent farming families in the local area since early settlement.

Significance

Vera Ryder and Alli Briggs were pupils at Tawonga Primary School in the early 1920's. Their families were prominent in the settlement of the Kiewa Valley
