Historical information

Urquhart Street Primary School was opened on 09 December 1878 by the Minister of Public Instruction, Major William Collard Smith. The school originated from Errard School no 227 which was extablished by the Presbyterian Church as early as 1860.

Physical description

Brick School building with bell tower known as Urquhart Street Primary School. Llewellyn and Edwards were the contractors. The photograph shows a brick building on a corner behind a picket fence.
