Historical information

The bottle represents the cordial making industry that existed in Charlton during the late 1800's, early 1900's.
We are unsure of the site of the factory, but the local iceworks existed into the 1960's. It was located on the corner of Camp and Armstrong Streets.

Significance

This is important because it represents an industry that existed in Charlton many years ago. It would have been an early form of today's soft drink.
