Historical information
The story is that the medal was given to an Australian soldier by a wounded German in the field. The German soldier wanted to give it to someone before he died so his body would not be looted. The soldier died.

Medal has two faces, front has a crown over letters "FW", a floral arrangement centre under the numbers"1813"
Rear has a crown, on top the letter "W", centre under the letters "1914"
Attached is a Black and White Ribbon.
