The card relates to Robert Thomas Heard No 5105, KIA (standing on the right) Refer 1893.2P for his service history and other collection items.
The other soldier is George Lyonel Henson No 4823 enlisted in the AIF on 8..7.1915 in the 14th reinforcements 6th Batt age 19 years 2 months. Embarked for Egypt 7.3.1916, transfers to 58th Batt 19.5.1916, embarks for France 21.6.1916, promoted to Sgt 3.7.1916, transfers to 57th Batt 29.8.1916. During 1918 he attends Musketry and Corps school totalling 5 weeks. WIA 28.9.1918 GSW’s multiple and DOW’s the same day. His name and Heards is remembered on the Soldiers Memorial Institute Roll Bendigo.
