The Methodist Girls' Comradeship was formed in 1918 with the first Branch being in Bondi, NSW. There were three sections: Junior Rays, 8 - 11 years; Senior Rays, 11 - 15 years and Comrades, 15 years and over. The aims of the MGC was to "challenge young people with the saving power of Jesus Christ and provide avenues of christian service" and "to provide for the spiritual, social, physical and educational welfare of the members". The MGC's motto was "The Utmost for the Highest". A gavel was part of the MGC Branch equipment.

n 1927, during the ministry of the Reverend Charles Mason, Methodist Church services and a combined Anglican-Methodist Sunday School were held in the Mincha State School, The Mincha Memorial Methodist Church was opened on13 March 1936. It was called the Mincha Centenary Church to mark 100 years since the arrival in Victoria of Reverend Orton, the first Methodist minister.
The photograph shows the front and one side of the church and public hall which are located side by side.

Stained timber noticeboard which is shaped at the top with a hole in it for hanging. It has a slot for notices to be changed. The typed duty roster in it is for December 1986.

These finials were probably on the hall of St Andrew's Presbyterian church Ballarat and saved by the Rev Gary Douglas Jacobs when it was demolished. The hall was rebuilt in 1938-1959.

"Brown's self interpreting Bible with numerous notes by the Rev Henry Cooke, DD, LLD. Reedited with additions by the Rev J L Porter DD" Editors preface dated 1873. Mary Hannah William Thomas married John Thomas at Sebastopol Congregation Church. John Brown (1722-1787) was a Scottish weaver who became a Presbyterian minister. Although self-educated, he prepared an annotated Bible, Bible dictionary and concordance, and a metrical version of the Psalms. G073.1 Small brown leather suitcase-style case with two lock catches and a handle. The case has a stained wood insert containing G073.2 - G073.9 eight glass communion glasses. The case is lined with navy blue grosgrain fabric and has a small leather label in the lid. Secured in the lid with leather straps is a round silver box, G073.10, with an etched lid, G073.11. G073.12 Silver cylindrical flask with an etched design on the front with G073.13 silver screw top, cork lined, lid. G073.14 Circular white lace mat in a separate section of the box. G073.15 Stained and varnished wooden stand to hold 12 glasses. G073.1 has a name stamped between the handles and a dedication inside.
