ERNEST BERNARD LUECKE No 2104 enlisted in the 38th Batt AIF on 3.3.1916 age 20 years. He embarked with the 3rd reinforcements 38th Batt on 25.9.1916. He arrived in France 21.12.1916. Hospitalised with Myalgia 8.1.1917 then Influenza 7.2.1917. He returned to his unit 22.5.1917. KIA between 7 - 9 June 1917. No known grave.

Inscription at bottom incorrect E B LUECKE killed in Belgium between 7 - 9 June 1917. Commemorative scroll issued to family of the dead soldier.
