Historical information

St Brigid's Crossley was built by the local community in 1914. In the early 2000s the Catholic Church decided to sell the Church. The community were forced to take out a large loan to keep the critical meeting place / focus point / heart of the community. The community celebrated the centenary with a weekend of activities including the launch of the history of the church and its community and the commemoration of a memorial / healing garden.
