Swagger sticks were carried by army officers as a mark of authority. They were usually carried under the arm. The use of a swagger stick is now largely obsolete.

Thus item is retained as an example of an object previously used by Army officers. It will be useful for display.

Physical description

This is a rounded cane stick with a spherical-shaped top that is slightly curved. The top is of a slightly darker colour. The stick is a little marked and stained.
