Memories
Memories of a boyhood's day.
When he went to scahool away
Letters in a schoolboy's hand.
telling of the things he's planned,
Linned in colours bright and fair -
THESE - are what I have to-night.

Visions of a soldier-led,
In his dress of khaki clad,
Saying, "Mohter, do not grieve."
When he has his final leave.
His dear face, and my dimmed signt
THESE - are what I have to-night.
