Sergeant Edwin Robert Patino was a member of the 13th Battery (Albury Battery), 5th Field Artillery Brigade. A single man previously from Sydney and a plasterer by trade, he enlisted on 3 July 1916. In April 1917 he was wounded in the leg at Bullecourt. He recovered and returned to the Battery, was promoted to Bombadier; and later to Sergeant. He arrived back in Australia in October 1919. His uniform and personal items were donated to the Albury branch of the Returned Services League (RSL) many years later and were passed to the 8/13 VMR Collection to be added to other Albury Battery memorabilia.
