Historical information
The 'new' John Foord Bridge was built between1887 and 1895, and replaced an 1862 timber bridge constructed by a company involving John Foord. A plaque, placed on the bridge by the The Institution of Engineers, Australia names it as a "NATIONAL ENGINEERING LANDMARK".
