Ray Cleary was the executive director of Copelen Street Family Centre, which operated all adoption work for the UCA, and Katharine Lancaster was the agency's principal adoption officer. An article on page 9 of C&N for July 25 1984 discussed recent government legislation regarding adoption procedures and law.

This President's chair was presented to the Victorian and Tasmanian Conference in 1932 by Mr Fred J Cato.
Dark hardwood ornately carved high backed chair with two arm rests. The chair includes two worn leather cushions on the bottom and the back. There is a small metal plaque at the back with the manufacture's details.
Communion set used in The Wesleyan Jubilee Church Toorak Church which was built in 1877. The church was illegally demolished by developers in 1985.
Dark timber and brass communion rail. The rail has timber top and bottom rails together with corner and middle supports. It has a brass finish and vine motif.

Octagonal varnished wood font with a fitted lid. The lid has a large brass knob on the top secured by three screws and the front a small brass plate on one side. Each of the other seven sides have carved two carved leaves. The font is on one single turned wood leg which sits on an octagonal base. The inside of the font contains a copper bowl. There is a support for the bowl which must be a later handmade addition to the font as it is made of plywood. The manufacturers name is on the inside of the lid.
