Three black and white photographs of old postcards, mounted on a sheet of decorative grey paper. Top one is an early depiction of Fairfield House. Bottom left one shows two oval photographs with a banner between them. Top one of these is of a wheat harvest, bottom one is of Lake Moodemere Gala Day. Bottom right one shows the Rutherglen water tower, after it had been decommissioned and the structure added to the top to make it look like a wine bottle.

One of the items which would have been presented to a relative of the donor when he was visiting Rutherglen Scotland in 1974.
Decorative certificate, printed in blue and gold on textured paper, from the President, Councillors & Ratepayers of the Shire of Rutherglen. Space for the name of the recipient of the "Honorary Citizenship of the Township and Shire of Rutherglen" has been left blank as has the month and day of 1973 for the presentation.
At the bottom of the certificate, there is an illegible signature above the words "Accredited Citizen of the Township and Shire of Rutherglen", along with a small red seal.

Letter accompanies the Official handbook of Rutherglen Scotland, 1970 edition, which would have been presented to a relative of the donor when John F. MacKay, a member of the Town Council of the Royal Burgh of Rutherglen in Scotland, was visiting his son in Australia.

Special issue of the Rutherglen Sun to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Rutherglen Shire. This issue may be one of the few available, as it does not appear to have been included in the bound copies of the Rutherglen Sun held by the State Library of Victoria, from which microfilm copies of these papers were produced. The Rutherglen Historical Society has scanned this issue so that the digital copy may be used for reference, and the paper copy carefully preserved.
Single issue of newspaper, The Rutherglen Sun and Chiltern Valley Advertiser, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Rutherglen Shire. The main section of the paper consists of 8 pages covering the shire council and Rutherglen itself at the time of publication. There is an 8 page insert on slightly smaller paper covering the founding of the shire, and the early history of the region.
