Ida May Boughen was born in Rainbow in 1908. In the 1940s she was office secretary of the Presbyterian Girls' Fellowship. She was commissioned as a deaconess in 1946 and was appointed the Presbyterian Fellowship of Australia field secretary between 1946 and 1951. After service in Scotland, she returned to Australia and served at Carlton, Jordanville, Colac, Lismore,Ballarat, Scot's Church Croydon, Kew and Belmont and retired in 1975.
