Ballarat College of Advanced Education is a predecessor institution of Federation University Australia. THe Victorian Institute of Colleges, Ballarat was formerly the Ballarat Teachers' College. It merged with Ballarat Institute of Advanced Education in 1976 to become Ballarat College of Advanced Education.
