Historical information
In 1909 Andrew Anderson was President of the Ballarat School of Mines. Part of his report states:
'It is with much regret that the Council have to record the death of Dr J. F. Usher, who was a member of the Council for the School when it was established in 1871, and who, for upwards of thirty years, was Lecturer in Materia Medica and Physiology to students in Pharmacy'.
