The gold and silver scissors were presented to Mrs Eliza Jeeves after she used them to cut the ribbon signifying the connection of electricity to Mt Dandenong on 3rd August 1934. Electricity was connected to Mt Dandenong and Kalorama on 3 August 1934 in a community event at the CWA Hall (Farndon’s Hall) Farndon’s Rd Mt Dandenong.
