Historical information

This comb appears to be made of some sort of bone so would date from early in the 20th century. It has fairly coarse teeth and was probably used by a woman with long thick hair.

Significance

The provenance of this item is unknown but it is of interest as an example of a woman’s hair comb from times past.

This is a yellow bone hair comb with 37 tapering teeth.
