Historical information
James Hamilton (1740-1827) joined the fledgling Methodist society and became a local preacher. He helped John Wesley to organise Methodism in Scotland. He became an influential member at Wesley's Chapel in City Road London. John Wesley 1703-1791 was the founder of Methodism.
