The motorboat Southern Cross was used for ship visits and also to Bring sailors back to the Mission or picnics.

Physical description

A group of ladies and seamen sitting on the "Southern Cross", the Mission's motor launch, leaving the Australian Wharf and crossing the Yarra River. In the background we can see the "Robur Tea House" warehouse and the south wharf.
