The cards and photos eventually became the property of someone living in Australia despite most being sent to English addresses. This denotes the probable emigration of the family to Australia.

Physical description

a collection of 75 postcards and photos sent and relating to the first world war. Most are English. A few are Australian and Canadian. Several are sent from France by a soldier serving there. Two are group photos of soldiers.

Inscriptions & markings

Personal letters are written on the backs of some. Pictures of towns or district have location.
