During the war 13,269 lives were saved from the sea by Air-Sea Rescue - 13,269 lives were saved from the sea often under the enemy's guns. Of these 8,604 were air crew.
The Sea will not have them' was the motto of Air Sea Rescue High Speed Launch Flotillas.
