First developed by James Young Simpson in 1848, Simpson forceps have become arguably the most popular model of forceps for use, and were adapted in the creation of many later designs.

Short handled set of forceps, possibly made of stainless steel. Marked "DOWN LONDON" on inner aspect of left blade handle.
