In 1992 the children from the Bulla Primary School had an excursion to Woodlands Park for a Colonial Day where they were introduced to old crafts and skills. In this photograph the children were painting a shed using lime wash instead of commercially produced paint.

Significance

The purpose of this school excursion was to introduce the children to day to day living in colonial times in Australia by giving them a hands on experience in a number of crafts and leisure time pursuits.
