Historical information

Belltower Pottery was set up by Rudolf Dybka in Kyabram, Victoria, in around 1977 with the help of John Stroomer. Stroomer later took over the pottery, employing as many as 23 workers and apprentices. After a fire in 1988 destroyed the building, Stroomer moved the pottery to the old Kyabram butter factory, where it operated until the late 1990s.

Works may be marked with an impressed 'Belltower Pottery' or, after the move to Kyabram, 'Belltower Pottery, Handmade, Kyabram, Vic.'
