Document, Specifications for Building a Stone Wall and Making a Brock Tunnel for the Council of the School of Mines Ballarat, 1898
Four handwritten foolscap pages. The wall was to be built on the Eastern side of the ground facing Albert Street. The stonewall to be 73 feet long and eight feet six inches high. A curved tunnel formed to be about 50 feet long. The work was undertaken by Johnson brothers for one hundred and fifteen pounds five shilllings.

Ballarat Mines and Deep Leads Report No.94 (Finlay and Douglas,1992) provides a summary of the Geological Survey of Victoria mines database, references and geology for most of the mines on this map. Alison Watson was the daughter of Peg and Harry Watson of Cromie Street Murtoa and would have been seven years old when this certificate was granted at the Murtoa Swimming Baths. The Baths were adjacent to Lake Marma and filled with water from the lake. There was a wooden pontoon in the centre of the pool which was removed for swimming competitions. Alison's father was the swimming coach at the time - 1956.
A rectangular light blue/green certificate with navy blue writing with letters highlighted with white accents. There is an illustration with Neptune, a mermaid, and a dolphin at the bottom centre with scrolls on either side.
The applicant (Alison Watson); the location (Murtoa Baths); the date(6th January 1956) the local president (N.T. McQueen) and the Secretary (F.C. Bradshaw) are hand written.

'Harry' (Richard Henry) Watson was the son of John (Jack) and Edie Watson of Cromie Street Murtoa. This is his Registration Certificate for the Boy Scouts 1st Murtoa Troop.
An illustrated rectangular certificate in blue, navy blue and orange colours on a greyish background with a white border. Illustrations of scouting activities are included along with the Motto - Be Prepared - and a picture of Baden Powell.
The hand written names of the scout (Harry Watson); the troop (1st Murtoa); and two representatives of the State Executive Committee and the date (1/9/1928) are included with the Scout's Promise. Certificate Register No.380/4 The slash could be a 1 or a 7 but does not rest on the line as do the other numbers. Verso: An advertisement for the Boy Scout's Equipment Department.
