"France II" was an extremely large tall ship, square rigged as a five-masted steel-hulled barque. and belonging to the "Compagnie française de marine et de commerce" was a totally wrecked in a coral reef of Ouano on the coast of New Caledonia in the night between 11 and 12 July 1922.
The France II was the second largest commercial merchant sailing ship ever built (hull length:142,2m).
