Historical information
Legacy is an Australian organisation which was founded in 1923 to assist the widows of servicemen who had not returned from active service in World War One.
It now assists widows, widowers and their children whose parent died whilst serving during any conflict or subsequently.
Significance
These badges are an interesting memento of the means used by the organisation of Legacy to raise funds to assist widows, widowers and children of deceased service men and women
