James Francis Barnes was known as Jack. Ellen Elizabeth was the donor's aunt, daughter of William Devereaux Harbert and Ann Maria Johnson Harbert (nee Gooch). They were married at Our Holy Redeemer Church on 25 June 1927. Jack and Ellen lived at 18 Banool Road, Surrey Hills. Jack had a tyre re-treading business in Camberwell. Jack died in 1972; Ellen in 1982. They are buried in Box Hill Cemetery next to her parents.
