The beret was donated to the George Evans Museum by Barry Quigley on behalf of St.Vincent de Paul, Sunbury. It is an Air Force navigator's beret worn by airmen during the Second World War
Physical description
A navy woollen Air Force (navigator) beret with two plain navy buttons in the front and the navigator's embroidered emblem at the front LHS. The letter N is embroidered in white and surrounded with a circle of embroidered olive leaves. Embroidered white wings are on the RHS of the emblem.
