Presented to Mallacoota& District historical Society by the late Miss Mary Gilbert of Orbost. William Hunter was born in Tatura in 1893. He died in Bairnsdale in 1971. He was a surveyor in Gippsland & Tatura district. He served in WW1 1915 - 1917

Tatura Rural Services operated in Tatura for many years and was located in Ross Street, virtually opposite the water tower. Business was owned by Bill Brown and later sold to Ritchie Trevaskis.
