Inscription on Plaque reads: 'City of Ringwood. Poppet Head. This Poppet Head is a replica of one which was used at the Ringwood Antimony Mine located at the present Civic Centre site, Mines Road, Ringwood East. The Poppet Head was erected by the Ringwood City Council, in conjunction with the Ringwood Historical Research Group, and was commisioned by the Mayor of Ringwood Councillor Lillian Rosewarne, JP, on 12th of April, 1987.'
