- OBITUARY (Clunes Guardian and Gazette (Vic. : 1914 - 1918), Friday 15 June 1917, page 2) An old and highly respected resident of the town died yesterday in the person of Mrs Ann Stevens, of Leslie street, whose husband predeceased her about 34 years ago. The deceased was a native of Gunnislake, Cornwall, and was a colonist of 52 years, and had resided 50 years in Clunes. She leaves a grown-up family of one son (who is in W.A.) and five daughters, two of the latter being State school teachers, The funeral will take place this afternoon, leaving the deceased's late residence at 3.30 o'clock.
