Historical information

Bausch & Lomb were a prominent manufacturer of optical glass and instruments founded in 1853, which commenced making microscopes in 1876. Entered into joint venture with Saegmuller and alliance with Zeiss 1890s - 1903, now global manufacturer of eye products and pharmaceuticals. Possibly used in Australia as a laboratory microscope 1930-1950s.

Brass monocular 3 lens (16 mm, 4 mm) laboratory microscope in cedar stained wooden box with key lock and carry handle, with glass specimen slides
