This is a photograph of Councillor William Godfrey Robinson who represented East Riding in the Orbost Shire Council 1938 - 1947.
William Godfrey Robinson was a Charter member of the Orbost Rotary Club and was the secretary of Orbost agricultural society in 1931.
Significance
This item is associated with the Orbost Shire Council. The shire covered an area of 9,347 square kilometres and existed from 1892 until 1994 when it became part of the East Gippsland Shire Council.
