The photograph was taken at an Ithacan Philanthropic Society annual picnic held at Bacchus Marsh. The men picture are all wearing badges. People attending the picnics received a medallion shaped badge which they wore while at the picnic. Race officials also wore a special badge (with ribbon) to identify them.
Pictured standing from left to right, Alkinos Paizes, Gerasimos Raftopoulos (Bourlotos) and Spiros Paizis-Danias; seated from left to right Orpheas (?), Andreas Papadopoulos, Andreas Zavitsanos, Stathi Kallinikos and Con Zervos.
