Served in WW1 in the Australian Army Medical Corp before transferring to the Royal Air Force.
Also served in WW2, where he was appointed pathologist to the 2/7 Australian General Hospital.
Appointed Medical Officer to the Administrator of the Trust Territory of New Guinea from 1925 into 1930's, and did extension research on parasites.
Foundation fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australia
