Inscriptions & markings
Down one side of the bottle: ""Not to be taken" and "Phenyle" inside a plain, embossed border.
On adjoining side: "Renown & Pearlite Pty. Ltd. Burnley, Victoria. Poisonous."
Towards the bottom of the edge between the two sides and within an elliptically-shaped, embossed border: "V DM A".
A border of crosses encompasses the two inscribed sides. At the base of a third side: "Reg'd No. 2140".
