Mont De Lancey is the historic homestead built in the 1880's by an early settler family, the Sebires. It includes the original homestead, timber slab kitchen, 1920's St. Mary's Chapel, blacksmiths, woodturners and vintage engine shed. The museum houses an extensive collection, showcasing vintage clothes, radios, tools, kitchen appliances, old photos and more. It is a not for profit trust which is run by volunteers.

He established a vital horse-drawn coach and mail service connecting the Belgrave Railway Station to the newly settled village of Monbulk. The coach journey was challenging, traversing the steep and heavily timbered dirt tracks of the Dandenong Ranges before the road network was well-developed.

Seidlitz powders were a vintage, effervescent, and mild laxative and digestive regulator popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Named after the Bohemian village of Seidlitz (now Sedlec in the Czech Republic), they were commonly used to relieve constipation, heartburn, and gas due to stomach acidity. Seidlitz powders is the generic name under which a commonly known laxative and digestion regulator was marketed and sold by numerous manufacturers, particularly in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The effervescing salts consisting of one powder of sodium bicarbonate and Rochelle salt and another of tartaric acid that are mixed in water and drunk as a mild cathartic. There is an overall black stylish pattern all over the outside of the lid and base. The powders were commonly used to relieve constipation, heartburn, and gas due to stomach acidity. This tin was used for other purposes when emptied.

This brand of Oven-Puff Flour may refer to self-raising flour. It is noted that self-rising flour (as it was called then) was invented in England in 1845. This flour was commonly branded as "Mammy Oven Puff". Mammy Products Pty Ltd operated during the mid-1900s, producing these specialty baking goods. Advertisements from the late 1930s and 1940s show the flour was marketed as "something different" for home bakers. Flour bags were used for bulk purchases of flour in early to mid 20th century. They would have been laundered and re-used for storage. In earlier times empty flour bags were washed and boiled and then made into tea towels or children’s bloomers, or underwear.

The original Primus stove was designed to be "soot-free" by vaporizing kerosene before ignition, a process requiring a precisely drilled, small-aperture jet nipple. Early jet parts were made of brass, designed for longevity and maintenance by the user. In 1962 Optimus bought the Primus brand name for liquid fueled stoves. Together with the brand name they also got spare parts and partly finished stoves. Bahco retained the Primus brand name for liquid gas products.

Vintage Droste’s Cacao pastille tins are highly collectible Dutch advertising items produced by the Droste factory in Haarlem, Netherlands. These tins are renowned for their iconic Art Nouveau style, often featuring the famous "Droste nurse" or traditional Dutch scenes, and are frequently used today for decorative kitchen storage or as collector's items.
A tiny vintage lidded Pastille Droste Cacao tin featuring the lithographic art of Droste's Cacao and chocolate produced by the Droste factory in Haarlem, Netherlands. Willow Ware began as a partnership between Ralph and Richard Wilson in 1887. They established the Wilson Bros in 1889 in Flemington before moving to North Melbourne. Willow Ware Australia Pty Ltd is currently located in Tullamarine. It is a great example of a company that began operating from the backyard of the family home, and has grown into a company exporting to over fifty countries.

1. State Express Ready Rubbed, produced by the Ardath Tobacco Company (est. 1895 London), was a popular Virginia tobacco, notably manufactured in Australia during the mid-20th century. The tins were typically small to mid-sized, featuring the "State Express" and "Ardath Fine Cut" branding, with "Ready Rubbed" indicating it was pre-shredded tobacco. Used widely by Australian soldiers in WWII, these compact tins are highly collectible today, appearing through the 1960s. 2. The Tilley Storm Lantern,company started in the early 19th century, with William Henry Tilley manufacturing gas lamps in the 1830s. By 1919, the company pivoted to kerosene (paraffin) pressure lamps, using a pressurized system for lighting, which was improved with incandescent mantles. The company expanded rapidly, securing major contracts to supply lamps to railway companies for track work and inspections. Tilley lamps were extensively used by British armed forces during both World Wars. In WWII, they were essential for field operations, guiding aircraft (RAF), and providing light in blackout conditions.

Rawleigh's medicated products, including lanolin rubs, salves, and ointments, have a long history rooted in door-to-door sales, dating back to the founding of the W.T. Rawleigh Company in 1889. While most famously known for their blue tins of medicated ointment/salve, Rawleigh's produced various topical products in metal tubes and tins during the early-to-mid 20th century, often utilized for minor skin injuries, burns, and chapped skin due to their moisturizing lanolin content.
A white, red and blue printed 1oz. net weight tube of Rawleigh's penetrating Lanolin Rub for the relief of pain of Neuritis, Neuralgia, Rheumatism, Muscular Stiffness or soreness of joints. It could be used for discomfort of colds, and an inhalant. The description on the aluminium tube and box give full details of the active ingredients of the product, with directions for use.
