Historical information
James Armytage lived at Tirkeith, Winchelsea around 1903. He was born in 1866. His was the son of Feliz Armytage, and the grandson of George Armytage (one of Victoria's early colonists. He first settled in Tasmania, then went to Geelong establishing Ingleby Station, and afterwards building 'The Hermitage' in Geelong, where he died in 1862.
