Significance
Pre WW2 service (1938) and leading into WW2 of Pte. Keith Bunning Gayfer, a Chiltern Resident. Keith served with 58th Battalion C Company and was enlisted for the duration of WW2 serving overseas. The Efficiency Trophy was awarded to the best all round Infantry Soldier who displayed excellence with soldierly abilities, weaponry, dress and bearing, trade or job, and service attitude.
