Photograph of dilapidated Renshaw's London House Store building, Tarnagulla, Dilapidated Renshaw's London House Store building, Tarnagulla, circa 1920-1960

Historical information

Murray Comrie Collection.

This is a reasonable copy of an older original. Copy probably made by Murray Comrie in the 1960s. The store close for business in 1916, and the building was demolished in 1926 after falling into disrepair. Originally built by James Ray in the early 1860s, London House was centrally located in Tarnagulla's commercial area and was a very successful enterprise for many decades.
