Historical information
The airliner, Miss Hobart a four engine DH86, went missing in the vicinity of Wilsons Promontory on a flight from Launceston to Essendon on the morning 19 October 1934. The Desoutter VH-UPR was one of the planes involved in the search.
Significance
The Desoutter aircraft VH-UPR was later owned by Nhill garage owner FJ Williams and was at Nhill for seven years from 1946.
