"October 29 saw the farewell of Mr Harry Morton from the Joint Board of Christian Education after 38 years. During this time Mr Morton endeared himself to a host of people in the Board. As a mark of their respect more than 50 turned out to an official farewell. For nearly four decades the firm hand of Harry Morton directed the finances of the Board. He was an inspiration in his untiring service and devotion to the church."
