Historical information

The men are working on the bridge and along the rail near the former Rupertswood siding. The siding was erected for guests, who were visiting the Clarke family, to leave the train at this point instead of getting off at Sunbury Station with their servants.

Significance

The Rupertswood sliding was a former landmark in Sunbury which was connected with Rupertswood history.
